Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Souillac H-B
Reception at the hotel with documentation & bikes.

Day 2 Souillac to Montignac H-B 45 km
First you’ll leave the Dordogne Valley for the rugged Périgord. You will enjoy a break and a walk around the gardens of Eyrignac. The route then carries on northward to the lovely town of Montignac on the Vézère River.

Day 3 Montignac to Les Ezies H-B 26 km
Today you’ll simply follow the Vézère River downstream. You’ll pass the Chateau of Loss, the village of Saint-Léon, the Saint-Christophe caves…to Les Eyzies, the capital of one of the world’s greatest prehistoric sites.

You’ll ride east through the green, thick and bushy “Maquis” of the Perigord to the amazing town of Sarlat, one of the major Medieval centres in Europe.

Day 5 Sarlat to Sarlat H-B 15 km ride + 10 km canoe
We suggest a ride in the heart of the Dordogne valley. You will see some of the most beautiful villages in France. After a short ride, you’ll canoe downstream from Vitrac to Beynac. If you are not interested in the canoeing you can ride the whole way on your bike (35 or 48 km).
