Using only 2 centres for the 5 nights, we suggest 2 different circular routes every day in order to enjoy the greatest vineyards of the province and all its châteaux at your own pace. 5 nights - from 450 €

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Pauillac H-B
Reception at the hotel with documentation & bikes.

Day 2 Pauillac to Pauillac B&B 28 or 50 km
We suggest an easy circular ride through the vineyards of Lamarque and Margaux south of Pauillac.

Day 3 Pauillac to Gaillan-en-Medoc H-B 26 or 40 km
You’ll cycle northwards through the vineyards of Saint-Estephe and Saint-Yzans-De-Medoc before going west to Lesparre-Medoc and Gaillan.

Day 4 Gaillan to Gaillan H-B 36, 42 or 54 km
You are going for a picturesque ride east between vineyards and a network of small canals. From the Richard lighthouse on the Gironde estuary, you can either cycle back to Gaillan or cross the peninsula to the beautiful Sandy beach of Montalivet.

Day 5 Gaillan to Pauillac B&B 30 or 44 km
Your last ride will take you to the Gallo-Roman site of Saint-Germain d’Esteuil and the old Abbey of Vertheuil before cycling back to Pauillac.

Day 6 Trip ends in Pauillac after breakfast

A very complete tour of the Dordogne and the comfort of staying two nights running in the same hotel. We include an unforgettable ½ day canoeing down the Dordogne. 7 nights - from 730 €

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Souillac H-B
Reception at the hotel with documentation & bikes.

Day 2 Souillac to Montignac H-B 32 km
First you’ll leave the Dordogne Valley for the rugged Périgord. You will enjoy a break and a walk around the gardens of Eyrignac. The route then carries on northward to the lovely town of Montignac on the Vézère River.

Day 3 Montignac to Sarlat H-B 48 km
This morning, you’ll simply follow the Vézère River downstream. You’ll pass the Chateau of Loss, the village of Saint-Léon, the Saint-Christophe caves and Les Eyzies. After a break at the World Prehistoric Capital you will ride through quiet, green, thick and bushy “Maquis” to Sarlat, an architectural gem.

Day 4 Sarlat to Sarlat H-B 15 km ride + 10 km by canoe
We suggest a ride in the heart of the Dordogne valley. You will see some of the most beautiful villages in France. After a short ride, you’ll canoe downstream from Vitrac to Beynac. If you are not interested in the canoeing you can ride the whole way on your bike (35 or 48 km).

Day 5 Sarlat to Rocamadour H-B 54 km
First you’ll follow the Dordogne river upstream. After the chateau of Fénelon, you will enter the regional park of “les Causses du Quercy to finally arrive at Rocamadour, a town set on a cliff.

Day 6 Rocamadour to Rocamadour H-B 32 or 58 km
A ride through the Causses with their stone walls, herds of sheep and dry vegetation. You will discover some exquisite villages like Loubressac, Carenac and the abyss (Gouffre) of Padirac.

Day 7 Rocamadour to Souillac H-B 28 km
You’ll leave the Causses to join the Dordogne River at Lacave. You will get a fantastic view of the Valley from the Château of Belcastel. The river will take you back to Souillac.

Day 8 The trip finishes in Souillac after breakfast

This is a comprehensive tour of Calvados, the central area of Normandy with all its contrast. This is the land of William the Conqueror, the country of cheeses and cider, the pasture for horse breeding and also the site of World War II landings.
This itinerary starts and finishes in 2 of the most stunning towns of the province: Bayeux and Honfleur. 7 nights - from 680 €

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bayeux H-B
The visit of the tapestry, the Cathedral and the old town are highly recommended.

Day 2 Bayeux to Bayeux B&B 48 km
From Bayeux, you head to the famous artificial harbour of Arromanches (Mulberry). Nearby, there is the main German Battery of Longues-sur-Mer. We then follow the little Aure valley to Omaha beach and the amazing American war cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer before returning Bayeux.

Day 3 Bayeux to Benouville H-B 45 km
After following the Seulles River, you stop at the superbly organised Canadian museum of Juno beach. After Courseulles and its oyster parks, you can visit the Château of Fontaine-Henry. Then you head for Pegasus Bridge and the Orne River. This was the landing target for the British parachutists and gliders, and the beginning of the longest day!

Day 4 Benouville to Cambremer HB 38 km
You leave the Caen plain, cross the Dives Marshes before reaching the Pays d’Auge at Beuvron en Auge; time for cider and a taste of Calvados! You then continue through rolling hills to the village of Cambremer.

Day 5 Cambremer to Cambremer HB 36 or 58 km
You’ll ride a circle through the typical Norman picture postcard countryside….horses, cows, orchards and beautiful villages. You have the possibility of visiting the half-timbered château of Crevecoeur. You can stop at the village of Saint-Julien-le-Faucon for lunch, and see the château of Coupesarte before returning to Cambremer. On the longer ride, we have added the Chateau of Saint-Germain-de-Livet to the visit.

Day 6 Cambremer to Honfleur HB 48 km
You ride eastwards, cross the Touques River at Le Breuil en Auge for another great opportunity to sample cider and Calvados. After a little break at the village of Blangy-le-Chateau, you head north to Honfleur on the Seine estuary.

Day 7 Honfleur to Honfleur B&B 35 or 48 km
You follow the coast to Trouville-sur-Mer and Deauville to admire some of thegreatest Anglo-Norman architecture there is to be found. Then you go back to Honfleur via the Chateau of William the Conqueror and the Saint-Gatien forest. On the longer ride, you go up to the village of Beaumont-en-Auge and you can visit the Manoir des Eveques in Canapville.

Day 8 The trip finishes in Honfleur after breakfast
