When is my holiday confirmed?
You send us your booking request by mail. Within 48 hours, we’ll send you an answer to confirm availability and price, and then you make a deposit of 10% of the total holiday price.
Your holiday is then confirmed with your hotel list and your reservation guaranteed. The balance is due 6 weeks before departure, at the latest.

Modification and Cancellation fee
Any change of date after booking is subject to a 30€ fee. If you cancel your holiday more than 6 weeks (42 days) before departure we will not refund your deposit and travel insurance premium.

The fee for Cancellation made between:

  • 41 and 15 days before departure 50% of the holiday price
  • 14 days or less before departure 100% of the holiday price
  • 7 days or less: 100% of the holiday price

How do I pay?
You can pay by credit/debit card through our secured online payment (Visa, Eurocard Mastercard, CB, American Express).
This means of payment is free of charge and is what we suggest.

Do you propose insurance?
No, we do not sell travel insurance but strongly advise our clients to purchase one.
All clients should have a third party personal liability insurance.

Who organizes the tours?
We have thought out and designed all our tours ourselves. In order to operate efficiently and to obtain the best quality/price deal, we use a network of local partners. With them, we share the same idea…putting our clients in the best positions to enjoy their holidays. More about us

What type of accommodation do we stay in?
We would like to give you the opportunity of choosing between two different sorts of accommodation, as we know that your tastes and budgets may differ. Naturally, all the rooms we choose have en-suite facilities.
Our first option consists of comfortable hotels, with a standard double room, in 2 or 3 star hotels.
The second option includes 3 star hotels or quality residences. The extent of our choice is limited in some towns. There, we use the same hotels as in the first option whilst assuring you of the possibility of reserving the finest rooms.
Whatever your choice, we have opted for small establishments in excellent locations, with a family atmosphere where Cycletours clients will always be sure of a warm welcome.

What do we eat?
All breakfasts are included with your accommodation. We leave the lunch decision to you but give you suggestions on your day to day itineraries; the local café, the picnic lunch you can make up yourself from the local market and so on…
For your dinners, the situation varies from 1 trip to the other but we always try to keep these ideas in mind;

  • A : We include the dinners when we know that you won’t be able to find a better deal on your own or just to make your life easier….like on the first evening. For those dinners, there are 3 courses and at least 3 choices for each course. Our chefs are usually proud to show you the local recipes!
Don’t hesitate to let us know when booking if you are vegetarians or if you have special dietary requirements.
  • B : We don’t include the dinner when we think that going out is part of the experience.
In that case, we can give you the best suggestions in town. But the hotel reception will also be happy to help you out, and book a table for you!

Drinks are not usually included.

What type of bike do we have?
On every trip, we deal with a specialist; someone who knows about bikes.
Brands vary with the provider but the types of bike we use are all hybrid. They usually have18 or 21 gears and come with, back and front pannier, a spare tube, a pump, a repair kit. We have all sizes available and we make sure they are thoroughly checked before they are given to you, especially regarding brakes, gears and tyres. Not too heavy to handle, they are strong and very reliable.
We will provide you with a helmet if you ask for it on your booking form. Also, you can come with your own pedals or saddle. We’ll be happy to fit them on.

How do we get our bikes?
Depending on the trip, it will either be delivered directly to you at the first hotel or you will pick it up at the shop if it is within walking distance of your hotel, and provided it is open.

When do we get our instructions?
On some of our tours, you will meet with a Cycletours representative at your first hotel. If not, on arrival at your first hotel, the reception will hand you an envelope with your complete road-book, map and all the information you may need.
If you feel something is not clear, just ask the reception to call us to talk to you.

Who transport our luggage?
We take great care of your luggage. It is ferried privately either by a member of Cycletours staff, the hotel or by private taxi. You just have to leave it with the tag we provide at the reception before 9.30 am.

What do we do if we need assistance?
If you have a question or if you have any kind of problem; don’t wait for the end of the trip. Give Patrick a call and he will always do his best to sort it out.
In case of emergency, you call us on our special mobile number; it is connected 24/24 hours and we’ll be here!

Can you make up an “à la carte” tour for us?
Yes we can! If none of our itineraries suit you, we’ll be more than happy to work out and design the holiday you want. Fill in our special “à la carte” form and we will come back to you with your special trip and a price within a few days.

Do you only organize cycling holidays?
Cycling is Cycletours’ specialty. But Cycletours is also part of Normandie Rando who organize walking and horse back riding holidays…send us a mail!
