Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Amboise H-B
You are staying in the centre of the town on the bank of the Loire river. There’s time to visit the Royal Chateau and the Clos Lucé; Leonard de Vinci’s last residence.

Day 2 Amboise to Montrichard H-B 23 km
You’ll leave the Loire valley for the Cher river and the Château des Dames; Chenonceau. After the visit, you’ll cycle along the river until you get to the magnificent town of Montrichard.

Day 3 Montrichard to Chitenay H-B 27 or 42 km
After following in the steps of the troglodytes along the Cher river, you’ll ride northwards on the plateau to Fougères-sur-Bièvre, Cour-Cheverny and the quiet village of Chitenay.

Day 4 Chitenay to Chitenay B&B 38 or 56 km
We suggest a couple of cicular route to Bracieux and through the forest of Chambord and its château; the masterpiece of François I. The longer option takes you to the royal town of Blois as well.

Day 5 Chitenay to Amboise B&B 32 km
Today you ride through peaceful country side along the little Beuvron river to the Loire River and Chaumont-sur-Loire. It is then a short ride along the Masse River and through the villages of Vallières and Souvigny to Amboise

Day 6 The trip finishes in Amboise after breakfast
