This itinerary starts and finishes in 2 of the most stunning towns of the province: Bayeux and Honfleur. 7 nights - from 680 €

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Bayeux    H-B
The visit of the tapestry, the Cathedral and the old town are highly recommended.

Day 2 Bayeux to Bayeux B&B 48 km
From Bayeux, you head to the famous artificial harbour of Arromanches (Mulberry). Nearby, there is the main German Battery of Longues-sur-Mer. We then follow the little Aure valley to Omaha beach and the amazing American war cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer before returning Bayeux.

After following the Seulles River, you stop at the superbly organised Canadian museum of Juno beach. After Courseulles and its oyster parks, you can visit the Château of Fontaine-Henry. Then you head for Pegasus Bridge and the Orne River. This was the landing target for the British parachutists and gliders, and the beginning of the longest day!

Day 4 Benouville to Cambremer HB 38 km
You leave the Caen plain, cross the Dives Marshes before reaching the Pays d’Auge at Beuvron en Auge; time for cider and a taste of Calvados! You then continue through rolling hills to the village of Cambremer.

You can stop at the village of Saint-Julien-le-Faucon for lunch, and see the château of Coupesarte before returning to Cambremer. On the longer ride, we have added the Chateau of Saint-Germain-de-Livet to the visit.
