Just by listening to its name, you can feel the magic of one of France’s most attractive regions. The Romans had already settled there during the days of their Empire, and we can still see traces of their civilisation clearly today.

Provence looks just like a picture postcard.

Wedged between the Alps and the Mediterranean, it is a rugged region where men have discovered how to dig down their roots.

Provence is a “terroir”. This French word sums up so perfectly that uniquely special relationship that man can create with his environment.

Provence is a land of olives, vines and lavender; a place where scents and colours inspired great artists and poets like Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cézanne or Marcel Pagnol.

Our itineraries are grouped around the “Parc Régional du Lubéron”. You will be able to live your experience of life in Provence to the full, in this central area of the region.

Between Cavaillon and Forcalquier, Apt and Sault, along quiet roads you’ll find typical villages and some of the most colourful markets. Be careful! This is a place which can really make you fall under its spell!

So that you can experience different lifestyles, sometimes you’ll stay in a village, and sometimes in a Provence farmhouse or “mas”, surrounded by fields of lavender.

The rides are not too long, so you can really make the most of your stay. There are some hilly parts, which, combined with the summer heat, can present a challenge! For the most intrepid of you, there is the ride up the Mont Ventoux. For the last one hundred years, this has been one of the myths of the “Tour de France”. From its summit you have a fantastic view of the Alps.

The hot, dry Mediterranean climate makes bike riding ideal between March and November.
The best place to start out from on your Provence cycle tour is Cavaillon. It is a small town on the Durance River, situated about an hour from Marseille and thirty minutes from Avignon.
