This route is made up for those who do not want to rush around. Using only 2 centres for the 5 nights, we suggest 2 different circular routes every day in order to enjoy the greatest vineyards of the province and all its châteaux at your own pace. 5 nights - from 450 €

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Pauillac H-B
Reception at the hotel with documentation & bikes.

Day 2 Pauillac to Pauillac B&B 28 or 50 km
We suggest an easy circular ride through the vineyards of Lamarque and Margaux south of Pauillac.

Day 3 Pauillac to Gaillan-en-Medoc H-B 26 or 40 km
You’ll cycle northwards through the vineyards of Saint-Estephe and Saint-Yzans-De-Medoc before going west to Lesparre-Medoc and Gaillan.

Day 4 Gaillan to Gaillan H-B 36, 42 or 54 km
You are going for a picturesque ride east between vineyards and a network of small canals. From the Richard lighthouse on the Gironde estuary, you can either cycle back to Gaillan or cross the peninsula to the beautiful Sandy beach of Montalivet.

Day 5 Gaillan to Pauillac B&B 30 or 44 km
Your last ride will take you to the Gallo-Roman site of Saint-Germain d’Esteuil and the old Abbey of Vertheuil before cycling back to Pauillac.

Day 6 Trip ends in Pauillac after breakfast
